If you’re a doctor and you have a husband or wife who married you (or stayed married to you) during your training, consider them a saint. This is the point that Daniel Shin of The Darwinian Doctor is making today (and I fully agree with him). I’m sure some of the reasons why these spouses deserve to enter sainthood are obvious, but not all. Follow along!
Your primary home is NOT an asset. What?! I know, I know… I thought at one point it was my biggest asset too. To back it up, I’ll give you five reasons WHY your primary home is not an asset (and one reason why it is).
- It takes money out of your pocket;
- It doesn’t produce cash flow;
- Appreciation is speculation;
- You don’t really own your home; and
- What do you have if you sell your home?
