deep work

One of the better books that I have read in the past year is Deep Work by Cal Newport. Both my wife, Selenid, and I have read it. And I even gifted it to my brother-in-law, Justin, who still thinks he’s smarter than me (see link under “Related Posts” – you'll understand).

As a concept, “deep work” refers to the ability to concentrate without distraction on a cognitively challenging task. As you can imagine, the advantages of deep work for anyone, let alone a physician, are humongous! So, this post is all about implementing deep work as a physician.
