Dr. Meera Kirpekar and Dr. Alopi Patel are anesthesiologists with a sub-specialization in pain medicine. They met in training and are now academic attending physicians in New York. Dr. Kirpekar and Dr. Parel are also co-hosts of a podcast called ‘The Hurt’ by The Female Pain Doctors. They have released one season so far and are recording the second.

Their podcast primarily deals with pain issues in female patients. While they have always been involved with social media, this podcast has given their respective practices a healthy boost. It has also increased their name recognition and brought them a lot of joy and satisfaction.
We were delighted to interview two fellow podcasters who are just starting out on their journey. Apart from the usual topics of school debt, side gigs and real estate jokes, we discussed Jordan’s bling wearing, rap pounding, ghetto cruising side fantasies!
